Morning Routines

Good morning and happy Monday guys! It’s a new week and one that is absolutely full on my side. My agenda is about to burst – no kidding. I have my final course week at uni (means lots of papers to hand in), have guests arriving tomorrow, meetings almost daily, dinners almost daily and Friday I am off to Düsseldorf and then – vacation on Sunday for one week! It really makes this week a lot easier knowing I can relax more next week.

Remember when I told you about Vivi Beauty on one of my last posts? Well, I was fortunate enough to meet the team behind this beauty empire and am allowed to test both their Vivi Lash’N’Brows Single and FORTE Single product. Forte, as the word already states, is the higher concentrated product for faster growth of the lashes. Well, XXL lashes, here I come!

As you might know I’ve had eyelash extensions this whole summer, and truth is, I loved it. The only negative side to it, is that you literally get addicted to these fuller lashes and in the end I could’ve gone every week to re-fill those lashes that fell out. This wasn’t very easy on my agenda nor on my wallte, so as heartbroken as it felt I took them off and decided to try ’normal‘ mascara again for a while. I still wear fake lashes from time to time on the weekend when going out though (those to glue on and take off again), as I love having that great lash-effect. When you take out those extensions, your natural lashes seem short and feel nonexistent. It’s seriously depressing the first day. So this lash serum from Vivi Beauty came with perfect timing. I’ve been using it now for a good week and will update you on how things go in a couple of weeks.

The great thing about these serums is that you can put it on at night before going to sleep, or like myself, wear it on top of the mascara. I seem to forget almost every night so I’ve changed my routine to the morning with this product. So far I’ve been pretty good with using the normal product, though I haven’t used the Forte one just yet on a regular basis. Now it’s time to cross fingers and hope that my lashes explode (in a growing, positive way)! xo

Those pouts

Happy Sunday loves! It’s been a crazy long weekend. I was out with a friend on Friday for spontaneous drinks and was hoping to be home early. Well, figures I came home at 2.30am. Same thing with yesterday – after a full day of studies I left in the evening for a goodbye party and clubbing afterwards. I was so exhausted when I got there that I thought I’d never manage the evening. Well, turns out I went over the point of tiredness and partied until 4.30am this morning! Sadly I couldn’t sleep in much because I always wake up semi-early. Tonight will surely be an early one for me though. I feel like I’ve become to old for this – and honestly, I probably shouldn’t even be saying that.

As most of you have noticed I have this thing for pouts. Honestly, as soon as my selfie camera comes into play or someone puts a lense in my direction – I pout. And as much as I love some of those smile pictures, I usually still pout. I swear it’s a characteristic I can’t get rid of. But what I’m getting at is that I always place a lot of focus on the face (lips, eyes, brows – the whole game). I’ve gotten a little lazy these days with make-up, though tried fake lashes the first time last night (and generally got really into applying some more!). Pretty damn nice when you open those fully lashed eyes!

For that perfect pout I found a new product on the market that just about enhances it to perfection. It’s a lip filling serum, called Vivi Lips N°1, and I really got a hook on it. It doesn’t give me those Kylie lips just yet (maybe luckily), but it surely does fill the lips a bit, makes them plumper and less folds (wrinkles?) appear. After application you notice a little tingle on your lips and voila – give it 10-15 minutes and you start seeing a slight yet natural difference. Oh, and it’s a swiss made – which I always appreciate. We live in a world where almost nothing is „home“ made anymore when it comes to products and most of my products probably come from some Asian country. So if there is one thing I always enjoy investing in, it’s a product from where I live. So I thought I’d share my finding with you on this lazy sunday (though I admit, I can’t even sit still today). With that, I’ll jump off to start cleaning a bit and wish you a great end to the weekend. xo

Summer Tatt’s

It’s summer and all I do is partayy! Of course I’m kidding – as much as I would love to constantly be running from pool party to pool party, the reality looks quite a bit different. Work and uni are steady and need lots of input, yet, the weekends are fully mine. I’ve been going to summer parties here in Zurich the past weeks, every weekend and really loving it. Now, if I have noticed one thing we cannot miss out on this summer, it’s the shiny summer tattoos. Both silver and gold tattoos are now part of my collection for these hot summer days, though I (of course) love myself some more gold.

Now this really shouldn’t be an excuse, but – can summer be one when it comes to dragging here on the blog? I know I owe you guys quite a few updates and more regular content, so I will try my best. Hold on and bare with me (and excuse the iPhone photo quality), as these past weeks and upcoming 2 are quite full in my agenda! Have a lovely week, xo

Spot that Brow

May I introduce myself? I am such a fan of Rihanna – be it her style, her music, her outfits, her amazing accent or the personality (or of the one we can assume). Regardless of the music (I admit to having every song), I always have been inspired by her magical, continous change of style – it is breathtaking, so fresh! Now I am surely not the only fan and absolutely not the biggest fan out there (no posters, haha!) but knowing that there are so many out there, one can approximately calculate how many she inspires. Given the fact that she has ever so often now, almost revolutionised fashion, inspired designers over and over and oh, has become a designer, she is one to watch for new trends. Here it goes: her brows! Looking at the new cover from Bitch Better Have My Money, I would almost bet that we will be seeing some more of these straight, in your face, bold eyebrows on one or the other upcoming runway! What do you think of the brows – yay or nay? xo

Route Natural

Happy Sunday my lovely readers – & Happy International Women’s Day! I hope you’ve had a wonderful weekend so far – I surely did! I drove to Düsseldorf (Germany) on Friday afternoon to visit the family and have been doing so ever since. Yesterday was pretty relaxed – I went to the hairdresser and we enjoyed the evening at home. Today we spent the whole day in Maastricht (Netherlands), which was absolutely incredible. The weather is amazing – it feels just like spring! Back to my hair now – I am slowly but surely hitting the Route to Natural. I normally always add more highlights or at least get these freshened up. This time round I actually colored my roots much darker than the blonde I am used to – it’s quite close to my natural hair color. I was shocked to be honest. I knew my hair color was quite dark, but this dark? I fell out of my blonde heaven once I saw it and I am still only, slowly getting used to it. I surely love the color, and I love the fact that it’s got the ombre effect – I was able to keep my blonde on the bottom. However, as much as I like it, I still feel awkward and just not like myself when I look into the mirror.. Let’s see if I get used to it!

In regards to the actual coloring – I love my hairdresser here in Düsseldorf. She does an amazing job with whatever I request from her. Be it dark, going towards natural or all the way blonde because I cannot do without it. I am sure she will have to help me go blonde again at some point – I am just such a blonde-love. However, for now I will try to get used to it and actually keep it for a while. It’s just better for my hair if I give it some time to regrow and not bleach it on a constant.

What do you think about the darker hair?

My hairdresser is called Aspasia – she is absolutely great at what she does! You can ask for an appointment with her at the hairdresser Andreas Kohlhoff by calling 0211 8632007 (Germany).

Oh – and sorry for the iPhone quality only, it’s the only camera I had at hand :-). Wishing you all a great start into the week tomorrow! xo

ps. I don’t quite know why my photos are shown turned-around on some devices – will need to get that one fixed!
