Organizing Tasks with Sloane Stationery Notebooks

When it’s already October, almost November and soon December – it is fair to say we are close to jumping into a new year; 2018 already! I always say this but I really don’t know why time is running so fast. With the end of the year approaching rapidly, I get reminded that I have oh-so-many projects running simultaneously and there are a billion more tasks I want to work on.

It may sound unhealthy, but I prefer a little stress over boredom during the day. I need to constantly be under control of what I am doing, yet always love some deadlines to keep me going and finish up my task just before I get bored of working on something. Now this has less to do with what I do for a living in my job, but is focused more on a personal level. In business I have my tasks, my on-going projects and I have a focus (due to being in a small industry). Personally, however, I tend to be all over the place. I want to try out recipes, work on my healthy lifestyle, get in some exercise regularly, spend as much time with my puppy as possible, work on planning my upcoming travels (business and personal), research for these travels and write down the hot-spots I cannot miss out on, work on my blog in the background, create content on a regular, work on my new study-programme I recently started (will be announced soon), and spend some quality time with my family, friends and close ones so that hopefully no one feels left out.

With all these tasks, and many more I like to focus on or keep in the back of my head for when I have more free time, I still have my OCD moments in wanting it all outlined in the utmost pretty fashion ever. Obviously being addicted and relying on technology, I have everything structured in my agendas on my laptop, iPad and iPhone. I have calendars for StylePhantom, for my studies, for private, family only, and for business. All neatly categorized with different colors. The same goes for writing everything down offline. I grew up with still writing down everything in my agenda. I remember back in lower and middle school, I always wrote down our homework in fancy pen colors. Then had special colors dedicated to writing down when I’d meet what friends for a coffee at Starbucks or working on a class project together, and of course another special, usually glitter pen color for writing down all birthdays.

I still love doing it. I love writing down all birthdays, all travels plans, all to-dos, all blog post content ideas and all other random thoughts in a small little notebook (or two, or three notebooks). Obviously, those need to be fashionable as well. Wanting fresh “starts” every year, I tend to buy a few more every year or even semi-annually. By chance, a friend recommended me Sloane Stationery recently and I fell in love (check.it.out). They are the perfect size for throwing them into the handbag and writing down all thoughts and to-dos when on the go. And also, there is something so satisfying to it when seeing I can cross off a task on a to-do list with a red pen and it is even nicer to flip through a book at the end of the year and see what I have managed to accomplish and what is still outstanding or really was only a rubbish idea.

Freshly pressed juices to-go & a boost of vitamins

Good morning and happy October already! Time flies so fast I am struggling to keep up with it. How did we manage to get into autumn so quickly already? It’s getting colder by the day I feel and I am ready to take out my winter jackets soon. With the cold approaching rapidly, I have the feeling my body is in extra need of vitamins and all things healthy a little more than usual. I notice my skin looking duller by the day – and I ain’t liking it at all. So I decided to start  my mornings these days with an extra boost of healthy fruits and mostly vegetable juices and get in those greatly needed vitamins.

Yesterday I spent almost an hour in the kitchen only to grind through those vegetables and fruit into the juicer. And I am proud to say I am rather satisfied with the outcome – the colors of the different juices are just as I had hoped they would be. A grassy-green that makes you feel healthy by looking at it (includes mostly apples, cucumber, spinach, one orange and ginger), a wake-you-up orange (consisting mostly of oranges, carrots, ginger and apple) and a deep-loving-red (made up of oranges, carrots, apples, ginger and beet root).

I am also thinking about doing a few days of juices only and find this a great way to getting used to the tastes already. I have never really done a full juice cleanse and thought that now with autumn having kicked in and winter approaching, this may be a good time to clean up inside of myself after this wonderful summer and lots of glasses of wine. I will, probably though, order juices, as making freshly pressed juices on the daily really is a bit time consuming (don’t forget buying the groceries first). Do any of you have experiences with juice cleanses and are there any you can recommend?
